Plumbing and climate covers portable AC, oil-filled radiators, fan heaters, bathroom fans, heated towel rails, and related indoor-climate products. We test in real British home conditions — poorly insulated Victorian flats, damp bathrooms, conservatories that overheat in summer. Portable AC units are rated on actual cooling (not BTU on paper) in a 25m² room, plus noise at night-time settings. Heaters are tested for warm-up time, thermostat accuracy, and energy use per degree of heat delivered. Bathroom fans are judged on humidity-triggered performance and on whether they actually extract moisture fast enough to prevent mould — the reason most houses fail.
