Beauty is the most ingredient-sensitive category we cover, so we prioritise products with full INCI transparency and dermatologist review. Our beauty category includes skincare, make-up, haircare, shaving and hair-removal devices, natural oils, and heat-styling tools. We rate skincare on ingredient efficacy (retinol percentages, niacinamide concentrations, SPF active verification), make-up on wear-time and pigment intensity, and haircare on scalp and hair-type suitability. For devices we test run-time, heat consistency, and safety cut-outs. Every recommendation is cross-checked against the British Association of Dermatologists guidance and the EU/UK Cosmetic Regulation banned-substance list.
